A pet project that was born from pondering the idea of MQTT over Websockets.

At least that’s how I think it went. I remember seeing MQTT over Websockets and being curious about it. I wanted to do something with it.

I guess I could’ve done something like a chat. But it felt boring. So I went to a different domain. An online auction (kind of like Ebay, I suppose), with bidding events sent through MQTT.

The project currently consists of three layers: the frontend (written in Astro and Vue), the API (written in Scala, handling HTTP calls from the frontend) and the service (written in Elixir, handling events from the API and bidding requests from the frontend).
